The foundations of a sound diet begin with a healthy mind! What sets you apart from someone who is fit, youthful, vibrant, and healthy? The difference is that their mind believes they deserve and can have any goal they desire. Your mind is a powerful force that translates thoughts into their physical counterparts. Your inner thoughts and beliefs, coupled with their correlating actions, bring you either abundance or limitation. So if you believe yourself to be fat, ugly, poor, sick, and worthless, you will be just that. Begin today to let go of past failures. Start discovering the power of self-suggestion and harness the mind to believe that whatever you desire to be or have can be realized.

Aligning your thoughts with your desires allows your life to naturally attract your goal. Martin Luther said, “Take the first step in faith; you don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”

Action Step 1:

Start making a list of goals: two to three things you want to receive and achieve this month, in six months, and in one year. Write these goals down and post them in a place where you can see them every day. Be specific and clear about your goals. Then set aside time every night when you have no distractions, and allow your mind to nurture and manifest your desires. Spend this time visualizing and emotionalizing these goals and desires. Begin your sentences with words like, “I am…”, “I act as if I…”, or “I will be…” Soon your mind will start to believe, and you will start becoming what you have always wanted to become. Then allow God to continue empowering your mind, building up in you the belief in the promise of his blessings for you. Memorize your goals so that if someone woke you up in the middle of the night asking you, “What do you want most in life?” you could answer them without a moment’s hesitation.
